If you follow my twitter account – which you should, I’m pretty awesome – you’ll know that the artist Wale was in town Thursday night for NC State’s homecoming concert! He was preceded by a pep rally for the football team, building some excitement for the homecoming game Saturday against the Virginia Cavaliers. Also opening up for Wale was the country music group Gloriana. Reynolds Coliseum was full of excitement waiting for Wale to come on stage, to which he finally arrived on by 10:30pm, it took him quite some time to finally start his concert.
Once Wale began performing he did most of his hits, including Ambition, Lotus Flower Bomb, Sabotage and 90210. On stage with him was the backing vocalist for most of his songs, comedian Lil’ Duval, his DJ, and later in the show All-American Cornerback David Amerson. While it was short, it was an all-around good performance by Wale and was capped off by the super hype song “Bait” which had me jumping and dancing all over the place. Football this weekend! Go Pack!
Sorry, but most of my pictures of Wale did not turn out well
